Ok, I was able to get to the range on Sunday and enjoy some quality range time. This rifle is starting to perform but the LC6 trigger still does not feel as good as my M77 RSI in 243. Anyway, I hope that it will begin to break in with time. Started off shooting some 147 grain FMJ South African 308 that I have lots of. It was impacting 2 inches high at 100 with 1 inch groups. I switched up to some Federal 150 grain soft point. The target in this post is the Federal. It is shooting higher than 147 stuff and I need to make another sight ajustment. Ran out of time. So, here is what it looked like with Fed 150 grain soft point at 100 yards on a wonderful Arizona day. I am happy with the rifle and believe that with time I will dial it in more.

Not that I really need to say this, but it will improve as you get more rounds down the bore. That looks like its really going to be a great shooter!

Nice shooting! Pretty darn good using factory loads. I'm sure with the right handloads it will group even tighter.

I sure like my 308 Mk II International, shown here with a fixed 10x Bushnell Elite 3200 scope for long range work.

It will drive 130gr X bullets at 3000fps using Re15, and gets sub-MOA accuracy at 100yds. :D

Reloading is next on my list of things to start doing. I have been shooting for 35 years and my interest has varied all over the board. I have done some shotgun reloading in my Skeet days and found it to be rewarding. I have just started collecting the equipment needed for reloading rifle and pistol rounds. I have couple of rifles chambered in 308 so this might be a good place to start. I have a RCBS press and I think it is time I get some dies and start to work. Until I get set up, I will shoot the 308 that I have and save the brass for reloading.

LC6 triggers can be improved just like the trigger they replaced. A good smith should be able to clean it up to an excellent hunting trigger in short order for not much money.
