Fellow traded in a very clean 77/17 chambered in .17Mach2. It has a green laminated stock, stainless steel metal, and what appeas to be a semi-bull barrel.

Very nice gun, and the owner is willing to let me have it very reasonably since he thinks we might sit on it a bit as it isn't a .17HMR.

I didn't have a chance to remove the stock, but am I right in thinking this has a barrel retained in a manner similar to a 10/22? I've heard later 77 rimfires now have barrels threaded into the receiver, and wonder if this would be built that way.

If not, I'm in as I can build it into a switch barrel.

Yes. It should be a V block barrel. Shank is longer than a 10/22 barrel but the same diameter.

The above information is correct has the 10/22 shank design. If you are looking to part with it let me know in a pm as I would like to add one to my collection. Thanks

Factory 77/17 in Mach II configuration are very scarce! Stock guns NIB have been selling in the $750.00 to $850.00+ range.
I have only seen them in Walnut stocks never a laminate if you get her please post some pics.
Nice snag if original.

You can use 77/22 barrels with 10/22 combo guns just requires a barrel spacer.

The grey laminate model was the All-weather version with the target gray finish and 20" heavier contour barrel. Seen a few, but never at a price I wanted to pay.

Yes sir,
I have a 17 All-Weather version as described, but I have never seen a All-Weather as you describe in .17 MACH II.
But you no what they say "never say never"

I was talking about the Mach II.... the HMR version had a slightly longer barrel, like the WMR All-weather.

This seller has both Mach II and HMR versions for sale as a package with a CF.
