New to this forum.....I have 2 Rugers and am about to purchase a third....LCP. My question is when the first round is chambered and fired, does the second, third, etc rounds fire without the "double action" feature? I know my P85 will cock the hammer after the first round is fired and Katty bar the doors......

Thanks in advance,

Welcome,
The LCP is double action only. The trigger pull will always be the same.
There is a LCP Forum that can answer all your questions about your LCP.

Now don't misunderstand and think that we're trying to get rid of you, but these folks have all the answers when it comes to Rugers LCP. :D
Great bunch here with tons of knowledge.

Buscadero is right. The LCPs are not DA/SA. They are DAO (double action only) and therefore the hammer will not stay back when the slide cycles.

I shot the kel-tec and said "NO WAY" will I every have one or a LCP. Then my buddy shows up at the range with a LCP and I was pleasantly surprised and love the LCP more than I hated the Kel-Tec. Long story short I bought one, I'm a old man with arthritis in every joint so I shot the little LCP to get used to it and was surprised at the little gun and the 380 round, my first experience. After a couple of boxes my hand was so sore I flinched at pulling the trigger but all in all with SIZE VERY IMPORTANT to me the LCP is my main CCW now. The Glock 26 and Walther P99 are very nice but still large for a sub-compact. Locally it's just me and my LCP when I travel it's another one plus the little LCP. I love it but damn my right had hurts. It's not the gun it my health and................ Every shot fired is double action with I do love. My Walther P99 A.S. has a de-cocker which make the first round double action, all round there after semi auto short pull unless you move it to De-cock and then round number one is again double action.
