Will Rugers 22 pistol run on standard FPS 22 ammo let say 1040 FPS?
I tried some Aquila in my 1911 kimber conversion unit and found the Ammo did produce excellent groups at 15 yards but had about 2 failed to cycle the slide to re camber a round from the magazine .I am running a 19 lbs hammer spring,I wonder by dropping the hammer spring to 18 lbs will it help if not I may have to stick with FPS around the 1250 mark
The Aquila ammo was 40 Gr. LRN FPS 1040 I wonder if I will have problems if my gran daughter uses it in her 10/22 Ruger?

1070 fps CCI Standard Velocity Targets has worked well in my SR 22. CCI AR Tatacial 1200 fps works well too. Haven't tried anything slower as of yet.

Only way to know is to give it a try.

My guess is no problem with Ruger. I am staring at a brick of Aquila Match Pistol as I type this. Now as to the Kimber conversion unit. Does it look like the one below around the Kimber Target Elite II .45? The reason I mention this is the early Kimber units were made by Ciener I think and I know Ciener says their units do not work with "target" ammo. Of course I tried it on one of my Ciener units and they do not. Later Kimber used another design like the one below. I have had good luck with other "target" ammo on this unit, but have not tried Aquila yet.

I've run plenty of subsonic ammo through my MKIII and it has functioned fine. Subsonic ammo tends to be a little dirtier than the HV stuff and I've had malfunctions that were solely related to the gun being dirty.
