I have the opportunity to buy a new in the box TP100 from an old boss. He wants 460.00 for it, I'm assuming it's a fair price seeing that a new GP100 would cost me about 510.00. Anyone have one of these or any information on value?

Hi Johnny,

Welcome to the forum!

Do you mean "GP100", not "TP100"?

Personally, I'd think $460 was a tad high for a used one, but others who are more knowledgeable about the market are sure to offer an opinion.

No it's TP100 with gold controls. I can't figure out how to post pictures. It's new in the box, I guess the only made 600 of them.

Might be a dealer exclusive from this place:

http://www.taloinc.com/strum_ruger.htm

If you look at the last gun at the bottom of the page, the SP101 has this info listed:

Ruger KSP-321X TALO Gold
TALO Exclusive SP101 (KSP-321X) Gold SS .357 2" With gold hammer, trigger, cylinder latch, grip screw Special fancy burl walnut grip insert. 650 produced April 2002. We did a similar number of GP-100 at roughly the same time.

Then I will defer to a higher authority. If it's a distributor/dealer exclusive it could be worth more than a standard GP100.

I'm sure someone will be along with info soon. Good luck!
