Question on 40th Anniversary 10/22

This 40th anniversary 10/22 factory letter states it was shipped to Lipsey's. Since a 40th year is a little unusual for a commemorative model, I was wondering, were these a Lipsey's "exclusive"?

No, they were not exclusive.

I don't know for sure but highly doubt a "anniversary" anything would be exclusive.

I haven't seen many 40th year commemoratives in any brand, and this one just coincidentally lettered to Lipsey's, so it piqued my curiosity.
