I am going to replace my wood stock M77 MkII SA, with a synthetic, and was wondering if anyone has used the Houge stocks? I have been looking at the pillar bedded and full length bedding block stocks would like to hear thoughts on them.

Thanks LM

I would order the factory Ruger stock from Midway for ~$70. IMO it is shaped much better than the Hogue. I dropped a 350 Mag I picked up that someone had bedded into a Ruger wood Ultralight stock into the factory stock from Midway and it shot great with zero work, and I am a picky, well bedded rifle sort. The best factory synthetic made IMO.

The hogues are nice. But they are little thick through grip and they are heavy. I also have a 350 synthetic stocked 77 and it is my most accurate ruger. Never did anything to the bedding.
