I know both 50 Aniversary revolvers have the same size grip but do they have the same size frame too? Other than the different barrel length, is the 50 Aniversary 44mag revolver same size as the 357 Mag version only with larger hole in the barrel and cylinder?

No. The .357 Ann model is built on a medium sized frame. the .44 mag Ann is built on a lg frame.

Okay, so the 44Mag is built on larger frame but uses same size grip as the 357? I thought they were same size frame... since they used same size grip.

Thank you for your reply.
I thought they were both built on same size frame.

The grip frames all interchange between the SA models. Bisley grip frames on a Single Six are the same as those on the lg framed ones. same with the birds head grip frames.

Ruger's 50th Anniv. .357's and .44's were made to commemorate the originals made in the mid/late 1950's. The .357 Blackhawk, introduced in 1955, was made on the, at that time, most common single action sized cylinder frame. That is, the gun emulated the Colt SAA except had a thicker top strap and fully adjustable sights.

Design/development of a .44 magnum model resulted in the .44 cal. Blackhawk's introduction in late '56 and they were made on a slightly larger and significantly stronger cylinder frame.
