I went to a gunshow today and saw that primers were 35 dollars a thousand and even saw some bricks of .22 for about 17.00. Bought 1000 Large pistol primers as I was down to 200. I felt like buying his whole lot but I am seeing more availability lately so I guess no need to get silly.

Occasionally see some, but at the Bremen, GA WalMart today there were 4 or 5 100 pack plastic boxes of some sort (too far away to read and no one around to help)of Remington .22 and that was it as far as .22's go....

Lately the only time I've been able to find any is when I'm off work for some reason and go during the day on a weekday. Apparently night-shift people are still buying it all up.

Primers are DOWN to $35/1000? How much were they when they were up? Around here they never seemed to go above $30, athough they were few and far between for quite a while. Cheap 22 ammo is pretty rare locally, but the pricier stuff is fairly easy to come by.

When you said price comming down I thought you ment $12-13/1000 for primers and $10 for a brick or a 550round box of 22RF. When they get there I will stock up again.

I picked up some win. LP,SP for $35.00/1000. I keep telling myself its getting better but the shelfs are pretty bare around here.
$12-13/1000 :?: :?: Its been a looooooooong time since they have been in that price range. For $8.00 per 100 you can get them cheaper on the auction sites.

I have a lot of CCI boxes (1000) of Lg & Sm primers that are marked
$18 from a couple years ago !!!

Primers are on the shelf here but running $30 - $40 per box...
& Bulk .22's are still too high if you can find them.

I think I'll wait ...

Good grief...here in Southern Oregon the primers went up to $60 to $70 a thousand and .22 ammo went up to as high as $40.00 a brick. The stores had none so those were the scalped prices of those trying to profit. I had plenty of each except I got low on LP recently so was happy to see the prices back to 35/1000 which is the retail price at all the major Sporting goods stores here. Even online they were close to that leading up to the election when everything went crazy. If you are waiting for them to get down to 12 to 13/1000 it sounds to me like your out of the reloading business.

Well I still have 20+ thousand primers and lots of powder/bullets so I am fine for awhile. Then I will have to pay whatever and/or shoot less. Wish I would have stocked up more on reloading and ammo(mostly mil surplus) before when I had the cash and prices were lower.
