The pin in front of the trigger guard, right underneath the pivot point to take the barrel off, is walking out. I took the gun out of the safe tonight to get something behind it and saw it. I haven't shot it in months. It is very far out. Pushing it with my finger doesn't move it. How'd this happen and should I just tap it back in? As you are looking down the sights the pin is all the way out to the left.

Disregard. It's an Allen key head and it screws back in. Weird that it came loose to begin with. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

What works very well is to spray the threads with parts cleaner, and then a drop or two of #246 blue Loctite. If you need to remove that screw, you only need hand tools, no heat.

Had the same thing happen to my new Mk IV 22/45.... did what SGW suggested, no problem since.
