I have only seen this in the stainless version. How many were produced in blue? I think I did ok on the price $385 NIB. The seller was selling a collection for the widow of one of his friends and was not welling to budge on the price. Considering the price of a new MKIII 6 7/8" target was $360 out the door and the fact that I would much rather have a MKII. I was happy with price. It dose not balance quite as well as the 6 7/8" target but I have always liked the looks of the standard. So I think I have the best of both worlds a short barrel with adjustable sights. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

The best anybody would be able to tell you as far as how many were made is several thousand, probably well under 10,000. Each of the three 5-1/4" Mark II models are probably about equal in rarity, or so they seem.
Unfortunately, Ruger has never given out production info of their regular production guns (even though we know they have to have this information for marketing purposes!!). Even though it would seem that there is nobody else out there in competition with Ruger on their .22 pistols (they've just about surpassed the 3-1/2 million mark since 1949!!), they just refuse to give out such information (it might actually take those that are on the secondary market out of the secondary market!!).
