I have a set of grips like these I purchased many years ago for a Colt SAA. Nice grips, but very heavy.

I know the Ajax ones arn't worth buying. .

You've owned some Ajax pewter grips, and they're not worth buying?

I've had good luck with Ajax stuff, so I was recently considering trying a set of their pewter grips. Wont waste my money, then.

Thanks.

The worst fit I have ever seen. Left panel is smaller then right panel.

also there was a member here that told me he bought a set and sent them back the same day because of fit.

I am going to give the adams grips a try... besides, the Ajax are $60 and the Adams are $40

Got some from brownell's, one side too small, they will take in return. Also called the Mfr Adams, he said to send him the small one and he'll send me a bigger one.

What's the issue with Ajax? I found a used set...

Ajax did not make the pewter grips they sold. They got them from an outside source. In the year and a half I worked there, we had alot of complaints about the fit of these grips. But it is no longer an issue. Ajax closed their doors late last year.
