Not sure if this is the right section to ask this question, but. . . Im looking at the Ruger Targis Hunter .22 air rifle, as I don't think I can fire anything else in my neighborhood.

It's winter Time now, but we had a big issue last year with skunks. My poor dogs just can't seam to stay away from them. They got blasted through my fence 3 times last year.

Spring is just around the corner, and If the skunks comeback, I want to take them out.

If you local ordinances allow air rifles, they will indeed do the job. There are several varieties that will take anything from a squirrel to a bison.......

This gets rid of the odor:https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://wildlife.unl.edu/pdfs/removing-skunk-odor.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiZw5Tj_aHZAhUPRK0KHQz8Aj0QFjAOegQIDhAB&usg=AOvVaw0KP6iuQ6lzjCQGaSxEsdcq

Make up the water peroxide ahead of time and put the soda in a baggie. Tape the baggie to the water jug then just mix when needed. As good or better than the commercial ones.

I ended up finding a smoking deal online on a used Ruger airhawk .177, braek barrel has the FPS rating as the targis hunter. Can't beat $36 shipped, and even has the scope with it.

.

I've taken 2 skunks with my AirHawk, when they were raiding my garden nights - but I took head shots so they wouldn't spray (much  ).
