I'm left handed and have installed Tactical Innovations left-handed safety buttons on both of my 10/22s. I was wondering if the same TI safety could be used to reverse the factory safety on a PC Carbine since it appears to share a lot of trigger group components with the 10/22.

I e-mailed both Ruger and TI with this question. Ruger says the 10/22 and PC Carbine use the same factory safety button but won't comment on or endorse any aftermarket parts and TI isn't sure yet. Volquartsen also makes a left-handed safety for the 10/22 but hasn't yet responded to my question about it's usefulness on the PC Carbine.

Anyone here know if it will work?

OK, a follow-up to my own question. Yes. the Tactical Innovations Left-Handed safety for the 10/22 works perfectly in the PC Carbine and installs even more easily than it does in the 10/22. So, now left-handed shooters can have a truly left-hand friendly rifle. The charging handle, the magazine release and the safety can all be changed to our preferences.

I'm sure Ruger will never endorse the TI part but it works perfectly.
