Well, today I wrestled with the idea of buying a tricolor flat gate single six.
I looked at it several times throughout the day, but just couldn't pull the string on the purchase.
It was in fair to almost good condition. SN is 202xxx. Early run of 3700. The vendor was initially asking $825. I approached him at the end of the show and asked for his bottom price. He said $700.
So, how bad did I screw up or did I?

Yeah, I'd think about calling him, sending him $$ now and picking them up next week ……

Today, I met the guy who had the 2 revolvers. I bought them! The flat gate blued single six is in very nice condition and came with a Ruger letter with a manufacture date of May 1955. The Tri-Color was as I remembered with a SN of 202xxx. Also got some extras such as an XR3red grip frame with Holly wood grip panels that resemble ivory. Very beautiful. Also got miscellaneous hardware. I paid top price I believe at $1500 for the total package, but I'm okay with it. Pictures to come in a couple of weeks.
