Wife and son left this morning for the house on Cape Cod so I am 'junk fooding' it. Decided to fix a frozen pizza. I, this time, actually read the instructions. I can't believe anyone could or would do it but the instructions say: "Take pizza out of the box and wrapper before cooking." Then to add insult to injury it tells all: "CAUTION: PRODUCT IS HOT". Now since you just removed it from a 400° oven you would think that warning shouldn't be necessary.

It should come with a pull string or button that runs a voice recording for people who can't read. Like on those old dolls and other toys from the 50's. ;)

Reading past the heat & time indicates the cook needs help.

I had a coworker who was rather dense. They had brought a cornish hen to heat up for supper. After microwaving it for about 5 minutes 😲 they removed it from the oven. After unsuccessfully trying to remove the skin they realized that they had cooked it in the plastic wrapper. It was pretty much shrink wrapped!

If you continue on your junk food journey and keep reading the instructions. You will find some things are cooked in their packaging. Sometimes you pierce it with a fork, or peel a corner. Or leave the cover over part of the dinner, but remove it over the other parts.

Some cardboard boxes have a metal? Liner. It will crisp the pizza in the microwave.

I recently bought a bowl of ramen soup, It came with an inner and outer bowl. The outer bowl had a packet that looked like desiccant. Add water to the inner bowl, along with the flavor packet. Add water to the outer bowl put the lid on and it started boiling and steaming! It cooked itself!

Feeding people who can't cook is big business.
