I think my magazine latch is worn. Sometimes, when shooting, the latch can be tripped and the mag drops. Is this an easy job to do, or does it require a gunsmith?
I know my thumb rests against the mag release when I'm shooting, but I haven't dropped a mag yet. I believe they are pretty easy to replace, not anything that needs to go to a gunsmith.
I had the same problem on a P90 years ago. I called Ruger, gave them the serial # and they sent me a new spring. I have seen a P95 replacement discussed on the forum before, check the old threads.
