i was at a local store yesterday and saw two new in plastic boxes a p95 and p89. the dealer said they are old stock but still new. the 89 was $299 and the 95 was $329 but both prices i was told was negotiable by a little but not much. are these good prices?, what would be a high dollar for these? thankjs for any help as i may get one.

I answered this on the other forum, but I think it bears repeating here. My 1st P89 I bought brand new in the early 90s cost me $300. If the P89 is brand new, I would jump on that in a New York minute. The last P95 I bought cost me $300 as well, a year or two before they stopped making them. I think the prices of the two guns should be reversed, as the 95 was always cheaper than the 89, but I think either one of them is a great deal.

I did not pay $300.00 for any of my Ruger P-series pistols. I still have them all. However, it seems that price is about normal in today's market. I have seen some @ $350.00 but don't think that they sold at that price.

If the P-95 is the newer version with the better gripping surfaces and under barrel rail(if you want/need that rail), it's worth a bit more than the P-89.
I chose a P-95 due to the slightly smaller grip size that fits my smallish hands better than the more chunky P-89.
