A guy at work might be selling his P89(DC?) and doesn't have a clue as to what it's worth. Does anyone have a copy of the Blue Book handy to let me know the suggested price/value?

He's got the gun, hard case, trigger lock and 5 mags (manufacturer(s) unknown).

He told me that "it jams"...

I haven't seen it.

Thanks for any help.

$250 is probably a fair price for both of you. There's nothing wrong with it ... clean it, and run good ammo, and unless he damaged it, it'll be fine.

With the p89 I doubt that limp wristing could be the cause. My relatively small girlfriend can shoot a whole mag one handed in her weak hand and has no trouble with it at all. I have intentionally limp wristed entire magazines to try to get it to stovepipe and it just wont happen. What a great hunk of metal that thing is!

I'd consider the mags just and extra... but $250 give or take some depending on how it looks and how you feel about it is fine. I presume it is a blue and not stainless steel? If it is a decocker only and stainless, I'll buy it from you if you decide you don't like it.

Thanks for the info. I'm not necessarily looking to buy it from him (though it's not out of the question). I was just doing a little homework for him.

I don't know the configuration (blue or stainless) and even he's not sure on the exact model. He said it was given to him and he never shot it all that much. I didn't grill him on all the details to pinpoint an exact model.

Thanks again.
