P345 safety

My son-in-laws P345 safety is locked in the safe position and he is unable to unlock it with the key. The key turns but the lock stays in the safe position. I am waiting a response from Ruger but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

New one to me. Personally, I refuse to even put a key in one of those locks.
I'm surprised Ruger hasn't responded yet. Did you call or email them?

An e-mail was sent to Ruger and they responded that they would get back to me. This was 3 days ago. I also have no use for the lock or magazine safeties.

Ahhh, we finally have a case of an unintended lock function.
Nother words it malfunctioned.

Is it loaded?

Can it be unloaded?

Why did he lock the stupid thing?

As for Ruger, I'd call them Monday morning and not hang up till I spoke to someone.
