I have two questions, both magazine related, both P series.

1. Why does Ruger list two different part numbers for the P90, P97 45ACP magazine (90001) and the P345 45ACP magazine (90230)?
They seem identical to me. What's the difference?

2. The P85 magazines compared the later production P89 magazines; I recall that the mag catch is in a slightly different location (lower or higher) in the P85 and very early P89. Can someone give me the measurement difference please?

Just guessing here but ..... could the different part numbers be because they made both 10 round and 15 round mags?

Oh wait.... are the P345 mags compatible with the P90/97?? Wasn't the P345 a single stack??

And, wasn't the P89 available in both 9mm and 40 cal?

Sorry ..... been a long long time since I kept up with the P series stuff.

The 90 / 97 mags come with a sticker that says the weapon can fire with the mag removed. The 345 has a fire pin block and with the mag out should not fire. Mags are the same just one has a sticker on it from factory.

The 85 / 89 mags are different by about .015 if memory serves.

Hope this helps and Keep the P-guns alive!!
