OT: I Have a 358 Win...Why Would I need a 350 Rem Mag?

I can confirm that the 225-grain Accubonds fit fine in the short action Rugers chambered in 358 WCF. They perform fine too, but I tend to prefer heavy for caliber bullets in everything I shoot. At a minimum, 250's + modern powder in the 358 will outperform the 250-grain 35 Winchester (about 2,250 fps) and I had great success with that round.

The 350 RM is a great round for a bunch of reasons but after a few days of mulling it over I think I can live without it. For now, anyway.

I highly recommend reading Ken Water's writings on the 358Win if you haven't already. He did not have many of the bullets or some of the powders we have today but his observations are still relevant and as true today as the day they were written. He never did get where he wanted to be (my impression) as I believe he was limited by his choice of test rifles and powders better suited for the purpose which we have today. I wish I had read him before I got involved w/ 35 cal rifles instead of after.
