... At 25 yards the LCP yeets 3rnds into 18" vertically strung aiming as carefully as I can.

I think you just created the 1st Annual 25 Yard LCP Yeet Challenge contest.

I'll give mine a try.

I think the LCP would be as enhanced by an optic as every other micro pistol!!!

Trying to visualize a red dot sight on an LCP....

Anything added to the slide would increase the moving mass - and probably ruin reliability. Maybe the best that can be done is the little laser in front of the trigger guard.

Yep, hard to wrap my head around a LCP with a Red Dot. I guess you would have to have a miniature Dot. I am guess any Red dot would weigh as much as the slide. Introducing the Tweeny Weeny Red Dot for the LCP. Nah, I don't think it will sell.
If I am going to do a contest shooting a LCP at 25 yds it will be the 22.cal. Dang if I want to waste 380 ammo shooting a pocket at that distance.
Now one thing we do love to do is set up Clay Pigeons on the 50yd berm and shoot them with the LCR 22. Have not tried it with the LCP 22 but will go for it next weekend.

With fewer than 200 rounds through my LCP, seven of them being Hornady Critical Defense, I am still in the phase of confirming reliability, so yeeting a few at 25 yards won't be a waste for me.

However, recently from this forum I did get an enlightenment on what I should've known from the beginning: the LCP isn't likely to have a long life. That has sent me looking at the SIG 938 Legion and a few others for concealed carry (though none as convenient as the LCP). I don't like polymer striker fired pistols, so the P365 and Glock 43 are out.

It has also occurred to me I have perfectly good pistols I bought decades ago: a P232, a P239, and a S&W 5904 (I like decockers...). Those are a bit large, however.

Yet the process of researching for the next gun is enjoyable, so I'll likely get something by year's end.

I have always enjoyed doing the research for a new gun. Enjoy shooting them side by side in comparisons. I belong to club where if one of the members in interested in a certain firearm, We all chip in with ammo and do our own range test comparing it to other guns that are similar. You can find out quite a bit about a firearm doing this. Some guns for example will shoot fine, but after many rounds, you can start to feel the recoil to the point of discomfort where as another model you can shoot all day.

Any gun I carry gets shot at 25yds every week or 2. Mostly because it's the distance from my patio to the stand and that the distance magnifies any issues. I usually use a 3' roll of paper to cut my targets so even a foot or more off shows. I think Ruger would be uniquely equipped to do this because they already have the LCP and Ready Dot. The Ready Dot would need to be shrunk down somewhat and the mounting screws probably inline. Someone is going to do it eventually. Why shouldn't it be Ruger. If SIG had an LCP class pistol they would probably have a Romeo.5 for it.

My lcp had a side mount laser on it when I got it. First thing I did was take it off. I am not a fan of lasers or red dots especially on a pocket pistol.
