Opinel Karma...We have a winner!

Do not put my name in. Thank you anyway. I have some Opinels already.

I also have an Opinel story.

My Dad was a knife guy a chef and a professional wood carver. He was not a collector but he had knives he liked and used.

I was always a collector. When I got my first Opinel, I thought it was neat. I showed him and he took it from me and got excited like little kid excited.

Turns out he had worked with someone who had an Opinel in his lunch box and my father liked it but didn't know what it was or where to get one. This was before the internet.

He was so excited to have that simple Opinel for his lunch box.

These aren't mine but I thought you all might enjoy seeing them.

Count me in!

I had never heard of these knives until there was a thread on here about them a couple years back. Then by coincidence, I was over at my son's house a few days later and saw one of these knives open and dirty on his kitchen cutting board. I recall taking a pic to post, and luckily, I included "opinel" in the filename, so it was easy to find again. Properties say I took this pic on my first grandson's first birthday (he got a baby brother 4 days ago):

I have no idea exactly what a Opinel knife looks like, but the ones in message #28 do look nice. Please put my name in your list.
