...I ran across these Bisley Blackhawks, one a Super, and the other chambered in .45 Colt. They're ten years apart in manufacture, but I decided I couldn't live without them. I had the .45 at the range last week, and it's most comfortable with the Bisley-type grip. The .44 Magnum goes to the range tomorrow for its dose of 240JHP's.

very nice.

that's the first i've seen Ruger's gray grips on a blued model. Yes, i too am becoming a huge fan of the bisley grip frame.

The Bisley in .45 Colt was a trade-in. When I saw the transaction going on, it was wearing a set of beat-up rosewood stocks. When I got back to the table, it was explained that the guy who traded this one in on a stainless model, wanted to keep the beat-up rosewoods. These were off the new stainless. I figured for the price I paid, a set of the dark laminates wasn't a bad addition.
