Well, I got my camera working finaly. I went to pick it up today, and to my supprise, it came with the original box. I can still see the last 3 digits of the serial# penciled on it. The first three have been torn away. The box says RSSM, but ruger said it was shipped as RSSMX. Is this just how ther were labeled? I feel I did pretty well. It has been converted, but for $250 it's pretty nice. I picked up an original set of lockwork already for $70.

The boxes usually do not differentiate between convertibles and single cylinder guns. The brown cardboard shipping cartons do.

Did you get the extra cylinder with your RSSMX? In theory the extra cylinder for a RSSM would be a .22 Long Rifle version.

No, the extra cylinder is missing. But I guess the box was a nice supprise.
