Found this at Cabelas in Dundee, MI. Lockup is tight(unconverted), trigger is nice, no marks that I can find, no loss of bluing not even any holster wear. This the first OM that I've shot, it's accurate and handles very nicely. I really like the XR3-RED grip frame. $549.00 out the door, it came with a .45 ACP cylinder and I just bought a .45 Colt cylinder from Big Brown Dog (thanks Trapr). The cylinder is a little long but it won't take much to make it fit. Never lusted after an OM, but now that I have one it's easy to understand why people like them.

I too recently picked up an Old Model, a 1969 vintage .357 with 6" (or 6 1/2", haven't measured it. I have owned other Old Models in the past and I always find them accurate, meaning I can hit with them out to longer range compared to my other Ruger revolvers. Mine has 50 yard accuracy for me, I can hit an 8" swinging steel at 50 yards most of the time.....

Great find! OM .45 Blackhawk with 4 5/8" barrel are almost as scarce as hens teeth even if it did only come with the ACP cylinder! Haven't seen one around here in years tho they do show up occasionally on the auction sites.
