Hi all!

I have a Ruger M-77 in 7mm Rem Mag. It is in perfect condition and has never been fired. I believe that it is model year 1977 or 1978.

I am wondering what the current private sale value would be.

Below are some pictures. Please let me know if I forgot any details.

Thanks!

Nice rifle, but very common. And, the 7Mag is on the wane as rifle looney caliber.

I see them advertised on the auction sites at $450 to $500 and not selling.

The condition looks good. If it is pre-warning it's a bit more valuable.

If you have the box and papers it will be a bit more also.

Hope this helps.

I completely agree with mcknight77. In my area I see quite a few 7mags and even one in excellent condition is only in the $450-$500 range at a maximum. Like was stated, pre-warning and box and papers would definitely help.

As others have stated, it's a pretty common rifle, and the 7 Mag (and the other Mags, Short Mags, Super Short Mags, Ultra Mags, and Short Action Ultra Mags) are not as popular as they once were. $500 is absolute top dollar.

Also, that rifle came from Ruger with a set of scope rings.... if you don't have 'em, take another $30 - $40 off the selling price.
