I know this is like finding a needle in a haystack but there may be a chance.
I'm looking for an old model 357 mag 61/2" Blackhawk serial number 41562 manufactured in 1962.
If there is any chance of finding this, I hope it is on here.

Welcome to the Forum!

You are correct in that it'll be a hard to find gun,, but if it's known or owned by someone here,, it might just show up. We have a thread in the Collecting section, just for the OM .357's. There we list the known OM's. I'll see if it's listed there.
You can also look the list over.

Well crap,, I THOUGHT the OM .357 list was there. I just run through 10 pages of threads to see if it was. I couldn't find the list.

The list I'm talking about was started long ago by the premier collector of just the OM .357's. Bob compiled a list of every ON .357 he ran across. Eventually it got put here. The list is still "active" as we do try & post any we uncover.

Hopefully the "keeper of the list" will see if it's on there.

However,, even if it is on the list,, that does NOT mean we know where it is. No names or owners info is attached to the list.

Eventually you can put a WTB in Classifieds.

yessir, best to just "put the word out" as well as the numbers, never know folks will happen to look, see just what THEY may have, and it goes on and on, that why why the older timers ( like Bob C ) mentioned above always said they had to look ,see, pick up and pay attention to, every old model they ever see at a show. I know for a fact our friend Bill Hall was at an OGCA meeting many years ago , down in Wilmington,Oh and he brought over to me an old RST-4, that was the same number as another misnumbered "D" target model, my wife had, and said he thought it was the same number and it was and it was "cheap" besides,so NEVER say never...oh yes and our late friend Don W. found an old red eagle RST-4 over at Jacquas here in western OHio and it was the SAME serial number as a red eagle my wife had in her collection, BOTH serial number #2720.........hhhmmm
so do keep on looking, and asking...........

We are trying to help.

And just in case you aren't sure,, they only came in (2) barrel lengths,,, 4-5/8" & 6-1/2". No 5" ones.

Good luck in your search!
