Hi, this is for people who have both an old P95 with "smooth" style frame and a new P95PR with non-slip textured frame and Picatinny-style accessory rail.

The question: is it possible to swap slides on those frames: put a new slide on old frame and old slide on a new frame? Will they function reliable?

I have a couple friends. One has the old style P95 which he says have been very reliable. Another got a new P95PR he has some issues with. I thought about to get them together and to swap slides just to try to insolate the problem, but I don't want to mess with somebody's guns if slides are not comparable.

Thank you.

I have a newer railed blued p95 with the decocker safety. I just changed it over to a stainless decocker only slide. For the decocker only slide to work on the gun I had to change the trigger bar and the ejector. I would think if you swap slides old and new will work as long as both are the same variation. Mark

YES. It will work. You have to make sure its the same variation of each model though. As was mentioned, if your changing to a different variation of mechanism, then parts need to be changed.
