Hope these folks have good insurance. This should get expensive!

Chief Spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, Pete Piringer, said on Twitter that the small plane was suspended about 100 feet in the air with two people onboard.

Both occupants were uninjured, the post stated, and rescue crews were on the scene.

From what I heard on the local news it took five hours to get the plane on the ground and the occupants to the hospital. What I don't understand is why they were flying at all. The weather was awful and thick fog in many places.

Don't know what or why that happened, but they are really lucky.
It appears the flaps are down but the gear is up. So in that configuration in a Mooney they could have been going from 75+-MPH to a135MPH+- Don't know the area so were they shooting an approach to an airport??? If so why is the gear up??? I think they hit at the tower and that is what helped hold them. If they would have hit in just the wires I don't think they could have traveled UP hill to the tower IMHO.
Anyway they WERE LUCKY

Yea knock off the Political stuff. About as much sense as saying all car wrecks are by Democrats

Many years ago I worked a crash where a Huey hit power transmission lines. It didn’t get hung up but crashed and burned below the lines. No survivors on that one. Some places now have large colored ballsa attached to te wire to make them visible.
