I came across this stuff while cleaning up a bit, forgot I had these things squirreled away.

These old batteries don't look too bad for their age but the flashlight gives a pretty dim light with them in it.

Wow! For all of the Eveready "nine lives" batteries I went through as a kid, Dad should've bought stock in the company! It was the early seventies and it seemed every toy on the market required two or three d cells.

I have a Winchester flashlight that could use batteries those would go with it nicely I would guess it's gotta be 50 trs. old made of copper, ps

This is not mine but very similar got photo off the net my camara is down.

I thought this was pretty funny. Read the back of the Winchester battery, it lists one of it's uses for hearing aids. Can you imagine the size of hearing aids back then if it took D cell batteries?
