Mod's, Could we please make this a "sticky"?

Gentlemen,
I would like to thank everyone who has reported known
NR4F-L serial #'s to me or Chad for our records. If anyone has
any numbers other than listed here please let me know.

So far they have appeared in eight different blocks,
268-48XXX - 268-51xxx - 268-52xxx - 268-53xxx - 268-54XXX - 268-55XXX - 268-56XXX & 268-57XXX, With many consecutive pairs!

According to Chad there are probably not more than
200 of these made, these 121 guns would represent roughly 60% of total NR4-FL production.

Note; Somewhere before serial #268-53825 the Warning Roll Mark was changed from "Southport" to "Newport" please note if your gun has Newport in large or small font. This will help us establish the range for the two Newport sub-variations.

268-14132 Is the serial number of the gun I just sent home with my sons.

Should I (or my son) keep it as a collector? I usually don't do that with new models and I know my son will shoot it. Thanks.

Of your variation, there probably weren't more than 200 made. Guns are meant to shoot, but you also have a pretty good investment there.
The NR4F probably wouldn't exist if Ruger wouldn't have pictured one in their catalog when the fixed sight Single-Six was introduced (the 1994 catalog I believe it was). Even though it was not listed in the catalog, a few collectors of course noticed it and Ruger made a few to satisfy that small demand. Later on Ruger did list the model on their website, even though they pictured a gun with adjustable sights, but the NR4F has still never made it to their catalog or price sheets.

Jman PM sent!!

That is the only gun I need to complete the four variations.
I thought that the NR4F Type III (only 50?) would be the hardest and I found it right away. Been looking hard for this one.
Nice Gun!!
