If that brass frame is a Ruger Frame and I think it is, it alone would be worth $400.00 - $500.00.
If the buyer had an extra XR-3 RED grip frame lying around, he would have a free revolver.
That was a deal.

That was a hell of a deal. That frame could be used on both old and new models. It may not have been Ruger but still worth the big $$$$.

We don't know if the brass frame came off another Ruger or not. Ruger also sold the brass grip frame's and as Jim mentioned there were other after market
brass grip frames sold also. like rugerguy says the sum of all parts.

Not sure BUT I don't think any NEW MODEL Super Single Sixes were shipped with a MDR Brass frame for OLD Model

It sure isn't a direct bolt on, takes some machine work drilling the hole for Latch Spring & Plunger, unless it is an aftermarket for a New Model.

It would also need a new model trigger spring channel cut out behind the trigger and two pin holes drill and pins added for the new model trigger spring.
