This auction was mentioned in another thread and I reached out to FT44 who was there for information.
I stand corrected, the #59 Blackhawk 357 did not come from this auction.
Thank you FT44 for the ability to post this here.

Well, I wondered about the s/n 59 coming from that auction as I "remembered" most of the new in box & shipper, plus consecutives being in the 48-49 to 54-55 S/N. But who am I to remember correctly.
A busy night, a surreal collection & several big bidders present. All I could do was watch & take notes. I'd shot my bank roll the week before from the same collection for a few nice shooters & boxes of goodies, grips n such.

Of all the NIB stuff, I had/have a list of the sale cost & the buyer but it's currently been misplaced. I was asked to keep the info to myself & did exactly that. A damn interesting auction.

I copied and pasted the files rather than trying to link them.

Thanks, Jay.

I attended that auction. It was indeed, a very special occasion. The bidding on the Ruger revolvers was intense. Saw several of the "local" gunnies from the OGCA meetings in action. All were had by a good time.

As much as possible, I was keeping track of all the Ruger sales, who bought what and for how much. All those files have disappeared into my records somewhere, so your posting has reminded me of all the great deals to be had. All of it was way above my budget, but the action itself was free entertainment, for sure. 😁:ROFLMAO:

Well Jaydawg, as I mentioned, as well as Ale did, the buyers ask us both the keep the sale prices private. We did.

But 12 years later I don't feel traitorous to say the BH prices were more than 5 & less than 6K. Prices then irrelevant to now with the inflation of late.

With that info divulged I don't feel too gosch to ask, what do you value your #59 with box & shipper now days.

Well,
If you have those files, you should post them.................

Oh, I have them, I just don't know where. They were just on-paper notes, not 'puter files. And as gunzo points out, we were asked to respect the privacy of the bidders. Probably wouldn't mean much after this long, but . . .

Anyway, thanks again for your initial post. Good times. :)
