On several of my semi autos and a few other places, I've long used
a brand of specialty grease called Rig Stainless Steel +P lube, I have
a supply adequate on hand for a few years more but now apparently
it or the maker have vanished. Does anyone know any details about
the product? I originally used it on a Les Baer all stainless custom
to prevent galling on the slide / frame rails interface and while the
Baer is fitted like the proverbial swiss watch, after thousands and
thousands of rounds through it, and having used the +P lube each
and every time I cleaned it, utterly no galling or other wear shows up
so I'm really going to miss it if its truly gone from the market.

According to a blurp in one of the gun rags (guns, guns&ammo?), the rig product line was bought out by another outfit ( birchwood-Casey?). It also said the rig product line would be put back on the market, but didn't say when? Sorry, couldn't find the mag or article so going by memory but it was in the last month or two that I saw it.

 If it's to be used on your pistol slides.........I've had good luck with Tetra gun grease! 8)

B.Thomas, thanks for the heads up, I don't get G&A but I do have
every issue going back never mind how long, of Guns and American
Handgunner, I'll check back through them as time allows. I checked the
Birchwood Casey website and there is no mention on it of the Rig
product line so perhaps another outfit acquired the product line.
