Vito said he started this thread because riding seems to make the years fade away. Kudos! Finding an activity that allows the mental feelings to put us in a state of mind our bodies say we aren't, is a good thing.
And since this thread has a lot about bike riding,, I'll confess I've ridden motorcycles off & on much of my life. I just don't own any,, and Miss Penny says she doesn't want me to get another one.
Her first marriage was to a guy who had a bunch of bikes, and rode, & was stupid. Plus, their son, got into dirt bike racing. He had a friend who got paralyzed from a wreck in a race. Very young boys & some not even in their teens yet. She saw wrecks, injuries & such that once she divorced the idiot,, she didn't let her son race anymore. He's had a few bikes since, road bikes & isn't stupid or crazy on them.
I was always conservative in my riding,, BECAUSE I saw enough stupid stuff done on motorcycles to scare me into NOT trying them.
I enjoy a good ride,, but Miss Penny is pretty firm about me not owning another bike. I prefer a happy life,, so I doubt I'll ever own another one. Well,,,, maybe one. My brother says I'll get his 1976 KZ900 Kawasaki LTD if he dies. Now that bike is a screamer.
