Has any one seen, or received one yet? My dealer has a list, but no rifles being shipped yet.

Thanks!

I;'ve heard of 5 or 6 that have shipped. I know where two went, kinda. I'm next in line at a particular distributor for my pair. Yup, I'm gettin two. :)
I've heard "no idea when" and "within the next 60-90 days"

A mate has one on order and has been told about June. That's in Australia though.

Just curious---why would you want a 300 H&H when the 300 win mag has far superior ballistics and is more readily available??

For me...classic design + classic cartridge = 8)

Seriously, with that route of thought, we'd have 2 or 3 chamberings and that's it right? Why have a .30-30 when you can have an .30-06? Why have a .30-06 when you can have a .300 WM? Why have a .300 WM when you can have a .375H&H? It goes on and on and on... There's a lot more to enjoying a cartridge and firearm combo than "superior ballistics". It would be like asking why have a .44 special when you could have a .44 magnum? It's one of those things you either understand or you don't.

Why the .300 H&H over the .300WM?

One reason my 300 H&H IB works better for me is that the recoil is far closer to the .30-06 than to my .300 WM which is much quicker and sharper. Hell my .375 H&H Ruger 1 with a decent pad is nicer to shoot than the .300WM.

The difference in velocity downrange and on game between the two .300 mags is trivial.

Then there is that venerable status that comes with long, reliable use in the field.

Now, finding factory fodder and brass has been a problem at times. Stocking up has been part of the game.

Whoever latches onto the new #1 in .300 H&H, be sure to PM me on your sn's so they can be documented in the reference!
I.M.O., this will be another fairly short production niche caliber.

The original "Super 30". Properly handloaded will do anything the 300WM will do. It's only downside is length which is irrelevant in a #1.

Called on mine today. They're shipping to me tomorrow. This is my birthday present to myself. 8) Only been waiting for this variation for 12 or 15 years now.
