Just took delivery of the Lipsey's No 1A in a 35 Whelen in blue. Now my ss version has a brother. What great rifles. Now saving for a Leupold VX III in a 2.5X8 to top it off. What great wood on this rifle too.

That's a fine rifle in an excellent caliber! Congratulations! If you could post a picture of that beauty that would be great. 8)

I also have the K1A 35 Whelen, and if I'd known a blue one was coming in the future, I would have waited.

Don't get me wrong, I love mine and wouldn't give it up, but you gotta love the blue/walnut #1.

I agree, we need some pics!

Would love to post pics, however, I have never done it on a forum before. Any pointers?

There is a sticky in the gallery section that walks you through using Photobucket to download pics to the forum. Check it out..... :)

Thanks for all the kind comments. The blue one will wear a VX III 2.5X8 in the near future as funds are available.

I just got mine acouple of weeks ago. I bought it because it was a 35 Whelen in a No.1, but I really wish it was a 1S model with a 26" medium weight barrel. I bought the 6.5X55 1A for the same reason, but I wish it was a 1S as well. Oh well, you take what you can get.
