I have a 45lc NMBH and would like to shoot 45 ACP, is it as simple as buying a 45 ACP cylinder? Will a convertible cylinder fit a "regular" frame? I checked search but could not find it.

thanks,

Manufacturing tolerances are such that each cylinder is fitted to each individual revolver. In my experience, seldom does a cylinder from one gun properly fit another. Measuring your old one before buying a new one helps......and bear in mind that "longer" is easier to deal with than "shorter".

Hopes this helps.

As long as they're not creating a new model, Ruger might fit a cylinder for you. I had them install a 9mm cylinder to a .357 NMBH years ago.

Compare the price quote they give you to trading in your pistol for a new one.
