Although I haven't been back posting on this forum for quite awhile, I just found a new and unfired, 1980 vintage, 2-3/4" NM blue .357 Speed-Six that was too mint to pass up! Following are some pictures of this revolver:

can I ask how much?

Here in California gun prices are higher-but, the retail asking price was $500- however, I managed to talk the gun shop down to $425.

Great find.

I've had my eye out for a blued Speed or Service Six for some time.

Haven't found one locally that wasn't 90% (really beat up) or $500+.

I think those .38/.357 Sixes are about the perfect packing DA wheelgun.

Thanks for the post.

Rat,
Good to hear from you again. Very nice gun!!!
I trust all the "White" boxed guns are still sleeping
in your safe!! :D:D.

1)Thank you! And, I'm glad to be back!

2)Yes, all of my NIB "White" boxed guns are still resting quietly in my safe-along with one "stainless" Security-Six, that's in the red-orange box!

You have a real beauty there for your collection.
I had one like this, but a shooter...and I couldn't hit with it. So I sold it, even though I loved it.
Just like in trap, I always sold a gun so I could buy a different gun that would "maybe" give me one more bird per hundred. Same idea...but...different...a bunch different. BTW, I also have some beautiful collector pieces that I don't shoot. Oh yeah, just sold one of those, my 3-screw .41 Mag shortie that I've had for 16 years. But it found a good home with a real nice guy who's giving it love.

1)Thanks for the compliment on my Speed-Six!

2)Maybe, you didn't give the Speed-Six that you sold, enough time for you to get used to shooting such a short barelled revolver? I've read many reports of other 2.75" Security/Service/ and Speed-Sixes shooting very accurately!

3)It sounds like you have some nice guns in your collection too! Thanks, for giving me a little history on your experience with your Speed-six as well as some information regarding some of the guns in your collection. And, I know what you mean about giving up guns in hopes of getting some better or more suitable guns for your intended purpose-only, to discover later that you had regrets about selling those guns! I've experienced this situation myself, many times in the past!
