Sorry for being such a newb, but this is my first time modifying a rifle and if I need to order extra parts for mounting a new scope I just want to make sure I order them the 1st time around.

I'm putting on a new stock and red dot scope on my 10/22 Carbine but I'm afraid I don't know what type of connection will fit my OEM rifle. Should I be shopping for a weaver attachable scope? 3/8 Dovetail etc? Here's the two scopes I'm looking at. Will either work? Advantages of one over the other? Like I said, this is all new to me

Here's the Stock I've settled on if it makes any difference.

Thanks for any help!

I like that stock! The rail that comes with a 10/22 is good for Weaver mounts or rimfire/airgun mounts. It looks like the stock comes with a picatinny rail for the top so you should be good to go.

The Picatinny rail on the foregrip of the stock looks kind of small and you might not like it that too forward.... all you will need if this is the case is a Picatinny rail for a 10/22... it will fit on top of the receiver.

Thanks! Watched a couple youtube videos reviewing the stock and it really grew on me.

Well I ended up just ordering a Picatinny rail for the top of my 22 along with the stock and sight just in case. Soooo, should be set now.

Thanks guys.
