I've mentioned I gave a BIL one of my 4" Security Sixes blue. The guy didn't even have a handgun. However I decided I needed to replace that one. A friend was selling one of his for a reasonable price and I had to have it. It came with hand filling Pachmayers. I've got an extra set of factory grips as well, so I'm set. Also have a couple or so of the stainless models. It just doesn't get any better than this. They are just handy when it comes to size, weight and durability.

Is Otis24's a highback and Stonebuster's a lowback? Is one type more desirerable than the other?
All of the Sixes in the large pictures are high back models. Are either more desirable than the other? Depends on your hands and how the grip feels when you are holding/shooting it. Many like the low back grip, and many (probably moreso) like the high back grip. It's really "to each his own".
Here's a picture of the low back and high back Six series frames. Low back on left, High back on right. Note the differences at the arrows.
Low back, more of a slope (you can see more of the hammer) and rear portion less than vertical
High back, flatter slope (see less of the hammer) and rear portion is more vertical
Low back, a pretty pronounced "hump" midway down the back of the grip portion
High back, smooth contour from top to bottom
Low back, outward flare at bottom
High back, no flare
Grip locator pin in different postions between low back and high back, that is the reason when you look for grips you look for grips for s/n's below 151- for the low back, at/above 151- for the hgih back (although there are low backs with a 151- s/n and high backs with a 150- s/n as this was the cross over point.
