Through no fault of my own, I have acquired a Galesi .25 ACP pocket pistol. Fortunately it came with a box of .25 ACP cartridges to spare me the embaressment of actually buying such tiny cartridges. The little pistol is blue with white plastic grips, and is rather pretty. And, though stiff, functions flawlessly. Soon as possible, I'll get some photos to show y'all.

Reminds me of my late uncle, whose criteria for interest was that a pistol should fit in his shirt pocket.

Sometimes you just need a .25.

Or a .380

Found this for you, & cauz I was curious. I have a what I believe to be a magazine for a .25acp although I don't recall ever having a .25 firearm.

Friend of my wife's was cleaning out her uncles house and found a Beretta 25 and did not know what to do with it. I paid her $200 for it and thought that was pretty fair.... it came with a box of ammo and the original receipt for both from Monkey Wards... $69 if I remember right. 5 rounds were missing from the box of ammo. I turned around and gave it to a friend....
yes, we need pictures.

Bob, might make a great back-up( in the boot gun)!

My uncle used to keep a .25 semi auto pistol (loaded) on the nightstand next to his bed! Well, I was maybe 8 or 10 years old and I'd look at it but I knew not to touch it or pick it up even at that age! I don't remember ever being told not to touch guns but maybe I was once. The story might have been different in todays world where kids handle guns every day.....in video games.

Shot placement - Yes, you have to stick it in their ear.

I get this is an attempt at humor and you know better.

Can it be effective in stopping a threat at close range? Not likely to stop a raging bull. Still a shot to the heart or forehead should change the situation some. I am not experienced with this cartridge but since it continues to be available in many guns, it must have some effectiveness.

The very first handgun that I ever shot was a .25 ACP~a World War II bring back that my bother brought back from Germany. It was a Mauser M1910, which I recently passed on to my niece.

And the little ACP has a sharp bark to it. Won't stop a raging bull, but will make an attacker think twice. And, its "......better than no gun at all."

My cousin was leaving an auto parts store once and there was a shooting on the other end of the block at a bar. A stray bullet from a .25 caliber hit him in the shin and made a heck of a whelp. Then not two weeks later my uncle (a cop) was shot in the left breast pocket with a .25. It was lucky it was that pocket because he had a note pad in that pocket and it stopped the bullet. This all happened in 1968.
