New model ss .45 colt S/N

I ran across a real nice New model blackhawk in .45 colt stainless steel today. Can anyone tell me some details on this gun? Serial Number 48-26540 looks like a 4 5/8 inch barrel Date made, Where, how many etc? Thank you
