I just purchased a great looking used NM Blackhawl in .357 Mag at my favorite GS today. It is blued with a 4 5/8" barrel with white Ruger micarta grips. The grip medallions have a red background and the front sight top surface is painted hi vis orange. The rear sight opening is also rimmed in orange. Since it has no box or papers, I am wondering if it is a special edition. Can you guys help me out? SN is 37-608XX which dates to 1999.
Thanks in advance!

Nope, most likely just someones attempts to make the sights more visible. The New Model BHs of that era came with Rosewood grips. The white grips could be bought from Ruger or Lett I belive.

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know. The sights were done so well that I thought they may be a factory item.
