I have the Magpul Backpacker stock for my Ruger 10/22 and I love it. if I ever get around to getting a Ruger PC Carbine, I'll definitely look into getting a backpacker stock for it.

I agree. One of these days when I get a new PC Carbine, I'd like to go that route. Looks pretty cool.

I looked it up on MagPul's website. They are scheduled for release around late summer, early fall. It's a neat stock, something Ruger should look at offering from the factory as a complete carbine. Bob! 8)

I really don't see that much of an advantage to it.... I was thinking they might have designed a folding stock for the newer PC carbine.... for 'woods walking' a short rifle with a folding stock always seemed more practical to me ... more so that one where you have to pull out and put two parts together...

Speaking of the PC carbine... remember the older original ones... well to the best of my knowledge there might be two of these in the country:

I carried this on walks in the woods for years and now it is the rifle that goes with me everyday to work.

yes, a folder would/does have a bit more of an advantage. but the Magpul backpacker stock is a better option over the Ruger stock.
Yes. I indeed do remember the older original ones. it's one of my favorite carbines. I let my buddy shoot it once, years ago, to this day, he is still trying to get me to sell it to him. lol although it's not as nice as that Choate folder you have. ;)
