sometimes swap grips and gripframes, but it only works for
a little while.

Agreed! Someday I will just have to pony up for a brass grip frame.

Thanks for the comments,
Guess I need to fess up here. I do own a brass frame or two;
but this old girl is wearing gold plated steel. Was not as expensive.
Is a lot of work tho...If you are going to pay for the polishing, you
would do better to hang on for brass. Was going to have it nickeled,
then decided on gold.
