New Grips

I have been playing with making my own grips and this is a pair I just finished. These are made of Olive wood that came from a salvaged tree in the Holy Land. I just thought it was neat to have this wood and wanted to do something special with it.

Dang it Caryc, I was hoping you would never see these. I am a long ways from being a grip maker buy I am trying. Yes, I stained the wood with a Walnut stain but the wood itself was a little darker than most Olive wood I have seen.

Aw c'mon, I've heard some guys say when they tried to make a set of grips, they wound up with something that looked like a beaver was chewing on it and just threw it away.

Have a little pride in your work, you earned it. :wink:
