New addition to the family

Picked this up today. 2 1/4, Stainless, 38 Special, SPNY. It was not a great bargin, but its cool . It cleaned up pretty good and looks to be a good shooter.

Can't wait to try it out.

Looks like it has a ground down hammer... nice guns... sold mySP101 to a friend... dumb!... got the grips for a replacement SP already.

This is a double action only revolver. This one was originally built as a back-up weapon for the NYPD. The hammer is stock and supposed to be this way. You should get another SP. They are good solid pieces.

That's what I had... an SP101/DAO 357mag... looking at your pic' I thought the hammer nub was a little rounded... my mistake. :wink:
